I took a ride up to the school were I went to sixth grade.
I did a small grassy area and was surprised to find so many coins.
No silver or anything old, I started doing the playground but they put down this chopped up rubber stuff on the ground
and its full of little metal bits I think its old chopped up tires.

Starting in 1982 they were made of Copper plated Zinc. Once moisture breaks through the plating, it eats away at the Zinc in no time.

Looks like the dates stop @ 1960 something, how old is the school .WTG

The school is called Alcott school and was originally a six room school house built in 1945.

You are right about the shredded tire, Its the latest rage to keep the youngins from crackin open their noggins. Nice hunt with all the clad, moneys money, the more the better

more battery money

Would love to have a truck load of those quarters. Congrats on the hunt.
