I found a Schwaab Co. Milwaukee Donges Bay medal. It has a date of 1890 on it. Does anybody know if this is the date it was manufactured? Or what date it was made? Also any ideas on its value. Thanks. donges obv.webp

1st - I noticed this was your very first post Chef - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Welcome to Treasure Net !!
Some history to go along with your watch fob:
[FONT=&quot]Mr. Jacob Donges and his wife emigrated to Milwaukee from Germany. In 1860 they had a son, Jacob Jr. Jacob Jr. or Jac, as he preferred, grew up to become an entrepreneur businessman. His successful ventures included investment in Lake Michigan real estate. He owned several miles of lakeshore property north of Milwaukee along what would become known as Donges Bay.

Wanna bet THATS where it originated? Dongas Bay was originally a private club... I'm fairly confidant that your item originated from what was formerly the Dongas Bay clubhouse. Hope that helps.
