Went out on a scouting trip to a new field this morning. The field was a place that I played softball back in the 80's, I had forgot about it till a few days ago when I was going through some old pictures with my misses. She told me I ought to go and hunt it to see if I could find some items.
My first two hits were a 1942 and a 1946D wheat penny. I ended up with $3.47 in clad. When it was time to head back to the car I got a nice repeatable 42 on the AT Pro. When I opened the plug I saw a glimmer of gold and here is the result. 14KT, 1.57 grams

I continued my trip back to the car and 7 feet away I got an 86 on the Pro and this is what popped out of the plug. Sterling 5.7 grams

I haven't been able to identify the ring, but it looks like a class ring from 1941.
Thanks, for viewing.
