I found a floral scovills button about a week ago.
 

Found this Scovills Extra Superfine button with a floral design. From what I read this was made from 1840-1850. Looking for specific information about this button? Any help would be great.
Nice button! There’s not much more to tell, but you’re correct about the dates. This was the tail end of the the “golden age” of gold gilt buttons. I’ll bet it will clean up beautifully!
