My poor G2 has pretty much plowed fields with me. Hunting in mist, snow, and the muddiest fields. I have managed to get enough mud up on the screen to scratch the bottom of the window. I wondered if anyone had a fix? I thought about polishing with toothpaste, car wax, wheel cleaner, or one of those lens restoring pastes to clear the window. Anybody have any experience or advice. These scratches are low and don't really bother me a lot but I would love to polish them out.

Thanks, Don

Guys, I am going to give one of these a whirl. If it is a train wreck I will update or if something works well.

Maguires makes a special polish to clean the car plastic headlights it's called plastix that will take all the scratches away.

Don ... here is what worked for me on Lexan tail lights for our motorcoach. Buff-Eez by Martin Senour Paints. Got it at NAPA years ago for buffing out tiny swirl marks that remain from buffer polishing automotive finishes.

For hazy and use scratched tail light lenses it was worth a try since those things are ungodly expensive to purchase new. Tried toothpaste. So-so results. Tried Turtle Wax that is designed to "whisk away" dull finishes. More so-so results.

Then I remembered that I still had a quart of the Buff-Eez in my shop. Used that on the lenses and viola ... darned near new looking now. Tiny scratches take special attention such as use very small circular motions with plenty of the stuff to keep the rag wet. Then clean damp cloth to rid the surface of the pink buffing liquid.

Thanks, guys. That is exactly the kind of information I had hoped someone would volunteer. I was afraid nobody was going to give me a hint. I appreciate your help. I love the G2 and want to get those pesky scratches under control.

Thanks, again, Don
