while searching for logs we stumbled across this anchor in the Louisiana swamps.

From our online research it seems to predate the civil war.

Thanks Seeker. I did check out your link. Thought I had liked it. I'll deff use the ID here in the future. My brother in law has the anchor at his place and I'll share it with him as well.We are thinking pre civil war. Possibly steamboat or maybe civil war make shift gun boat. There is tons of history down here with the steamboats, war, logging industry...
