SE ready 2 turn on !!!!!

This is my first real detector.I did not like the B.H. "I was talked into buying,I just took the SE out of the box an W.O.W.!!!!.This machine made my jaw drop,i could not believe just how stunning the appearance of this machine is.My question please help me,until I'm able to read an understand the basic of this detector,can i just turn on the detector an start hunting,without adjusting anything,If anyone can give me the basics to help me start would be very thankfull,Merry Christmas Everyone,an again i wish everyone could own a Minelab S.E.,

Yes, Just take it turn it on. Hold the coil 12" above the ground and hit the NOISE button, hold it there until it goes through several ( 11 ) beeps, then start hunting. BUT figuring out all the different sounds is the hard part. Test different things under the coil and you will what i mean. It take sometime to learn.

thank you,if i just had a talking book would be great,Ive been reading the book an I'm so confused,this is why I'm so happy there are experienced detector members out there, that will take the time to offer assistance,I'm going to do what you suggested,

Ron this should help you with your minelab http://groups.msn.com/MinelabExplorerXSusers it is possible to start hunting as soon as you have assembled the detector, but it is worth familiarizing yourself with its many features, also I have the Explorer II with a CD if you like a copy of it let me know @ tommmyd75@hotmail.com

deepdigger thanks for the advice,iv been hurting lately,an haven't went out detecting yet,going to try this weekend.iv been reading the book an trying to understand,i guess i hold the start button down couple seconds,an its factory preset,an ready to detect,i hoping that it will start detecting with no problem,until i learn what type of adjusting i will need to do ,so that i don't miss targets,any advice i look 4ward to,I'm so wanting to fill good about this purchase,thank you
