Season Ends With a Bang...Part 2

My last hunt of the season was Sunday...had to get back to the field I had the great luck on Saturday for one more dig....

I spent about an hour hunting, and right off got a +84 hit on the side of a hill...dug down about 7" or so and found a beautiful 1805 Large Cent!! Couldn't believe it...

Next on the way out I had a +48 hit that was shallow...and dug my 11th US Artillery Button from 1808-1821..Wow! What a way to end the year...and what a field to go back to in the Spring...

Well done...Way to finish the season with those great finds.
Both of them are really great.
I like the large cent.
On the large cent which one is it? There is a stemless version, small stems and large stems.
Just curious, the key date would be the 1805 with 5 small stems.

Those are two mighty fine keepers! A great looking Draped Bust Large Cent and a cool looking artillery button! WTG!

Wow, two great digs..... I've found LRG Cents but none that old.....Both of your finds are still on my list and I'm guessing they will be for a long time to come....
