My last hunt of the season was Sunday...had to get back to the field I had the great luck on Saturday for one more dig.... ;)

I spent about an hour hunting, and right off got a +84 hit on the side of a hill...dug down about 7" or so and found a beautiful 1805 Large Cent!! :o ;D Couldn't believe it...

Next on the way out I had a +48 hit that was shallow...and dug my 11th US Artillery Button from 1808-1821..Wow! What a way to end the year...and what a field to go back to in the Spring... ;) :D

Hope you all can keep on diggin' and showing your great finds...

:o What a way to end the year, indeed! :o I LOVE that button! Those are fantastic finds!

Many congrats! Nana :)

XLT,
Well done...Way to finish the season with those great finds.
Both of them are really great.
I like the large cent.
On the large cent which one is it? There is a stemless version, small stems and large stems.
Just curious, the key date would be the 1805 with 5 small stems.
HH

Wow, two great digs..... I've found LRG Cents but none that old.....Both of your finds are still on my list and I'm guessing they will be for a long time to come....

Congrats on the great finds,

RR
