Hi Folks,
Their getting the beans picked in our area. Hit an old camp meeting grounds I have been detecting for the last 5 or 6 yrs. Spent about 6 hrs. there and came away with a 1875S seated Dime, 2 1901 Barber Dimes, 4 Indian Head Pennies 1883,1900 and 2 semi key's 1876, 1868. Also found a 1899 V Nickel. Sorry for the insitu pictures being a little blurry but I am better at metal detecting than picture taking LOL. These were found with a Fisher CZ-3D. Thanks for looking.
Mike

Hey Doug. The pictures were taken with sony cyber shot digital. Thanks for the comments on the coins also. Mike

Wow, great coins

Holy COW!!!!! I love all those old coins, I'm a mess, I can't get enough of this stuff, I need to find me some coins like that today. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, congrats on your great finds.

Looks like you had a great day. Way to go!

Congrats!! Love the seated liberty, awesome condition!

That is awesome detail ! Was it kinda dark when you took the pics?

The seated is in great shape. The v nickels are one of my favorites to find. Great variety.

Hey Mike, those are some terrific finds! Check to be sure your 1868 Indian Head is not actually an 1863 copper nickel fatty. That red color makes me think it is copper nickel, especially after seeing how red your V nickel is.

Super Day! CONGRATS! :hello2::blob9::toothy4: Also super that one place has given you so much over the years. Andi

Hey terpfan your right it is a 1863 fatty. When i first found it i thought it might be, because it came in mid-tone on the cz-3d and all other coins i find come in high tone running in enhanced mode. Yes my other fatties come in mid-tone.Had to look at it under a magnify glass after you mentioned it. Thanks for the heads up. Mike

Thanks Andi. Yes it's been a good spot. So far i have pulled 75 coins out of here from 1850-1907. Some days i don't find anything and the next i may have a day like today. Wish they would turn the ground over but the farmer says as long as he's farming it this won't happen. Mike
