Found this 1864-S seated dime in a empty lot in Marsville Calif. Unfortunately it looks like it was placed on a railroad track. :( You can barley make out the date. What a disappointment! Hunting partner got a 1865 2 cent piece on the same lot.

yeah. he's right on the money man, it's still silver....makes it worth something....sad though about it being trashed. ::) I wish I had found it...

Too bad man but at least you found silver. FYI, I was in 1st AD from 00-04, Mech INF.
 
damn that sucks. its still a piece of silver though.
