second trip in today = $$$

today was my second trip in. last time i went was about 2 weeks ago. this is what i have collected since then:
46 lb. of AL @.57 21.30
33 lb. of brass @1.40 46.20
16 lb. mixed copper @2.50 40.50
5 lb of Stainless @.60 3.00.
lead cant remember but it came out to 3.50
so the total for this one was 114.50. but the guy rounded it so i walked out with $115

then i went next door to the steel and iron scrap yard
i had about 300 pounds of steel. not sure what it was per pound but the gave me a twenty for it.

Hi whitesid,what was your lead scrap in the form of?

Also would you mind calling and finding out what the price is per pound.I am curious because I have some lead scrap but have not taken it in yet because the spot price just keeps climbing so fast!

In the last 30 days spot lead has climbed $.20/pound to just over $1.15LB.I'm just wondering how close to spot the scrap yards are paying?

Just 1 year ago it was $.42LB.

Wonder where it will be in another year?

it was in the form of everything i had bullets, tire weights, fishing weights, soider wireing, and melted lead that i used to play with.
