cool pouch, you might be able to drill out the rivets for the hammer ring and take it off, or modify it to hold your digging tool. nice find

I'm pretty generous around the waist - 44 -46 pants and the belt is long enough to go past that and it slides out easily if you wanted to use a different one. Also makes it easy to move the pouch once you've put it on. I like the hammer ring as it makes a good place to snap the lanyard I put on my Pro Pointer.
