The problem with foreign coins is that some of them are no longer in circulation. I remember reading an article that someone wrote about their attempt at cashing in foreign coins. Didn't really amount to much. Try as a bulk lot on ebay.

Ya world coin collectors in my opinion are your best bet. Let us know what happens to them if you do because i have tons.......i like them though

OK. I do have a bunch of Euros, which are all good. And the English money is good.

I, uh, bought a jar of money at one of my local thrift stores. I am laughing all the way to the bank with the paper money! I needed the Israeli money for my upcoming trip which is why I bought it. Turns out, I'll have made about $220 after the israeli currency which is already in my wallet (got 270 NIS which is about $80 USD). I asked my son who is in Israel if I can change the coin money there, which I may end up doing if I can't do it here. Those paper Euros have a great change rate, btw ... Wish I could find another one of these jars!

I've got a bag of Canadian money that I've been adding to for the last several years. I always figured I'd cash it in at the currency exchange place next time I went to the Atlanta airport. Problem is I don't fly much & the few times I have I forgot the money.

If you can find a bank that takes coins for sure go there- but from my experience, no bank will take them. But if you have to drive a long ways to find someplace, it might be cheaper in gas and time to send them in.

i take my gold and silver scrap to an old coin store near me. They pay the best price around for scrap, I have taken them foreign coins in the past as well and they generally exchange them at the current exchange rate minus a small premium. Thhey also buy out of circulation coins from me when I find them. May try calling around some of the local coin shops

So basically, no one will take coins. BUT ... I can take them with me on my trip and exchange them there ... so, it's all good. I've got 270 NIS (which is about $73, but I need them to get from the airport to my son's apartment), and the bank deposited $196 into my account. I still have $30 in coins that I know of. I didn't bother figuring out the rest of the coins. Not bad for a $40 investment. I love thrift stores that sell money for cheap!

if you cant sell them to a local coin ahop, you can always try an ebay lot. They appear to sell within a few dollars of face value.

Most places do not take coins, banks and currency exchange places domestically for sure.

I sell on eBay or locally. I usually sell Canadian for 50-60% of US value to draw in a buyer.
