x3 1950s in my last 2 nickel boxes, but never the elusive 1950-d.

Looking back over my records, I've pulled 6 in 13 boxes, which based on mintage numbers, suggest I should average 1-2 over that amount. Not a huge sample size I realize, but interesting nonetheless,.

Does anyone else have weird runs of lower mintage years that stand out in your numbers?

1936 and 1936D Buffalo nickels in the same brinks box of dimes? Does that count?

I use to work at a Circle K in Dallas in 1990

In that summer, I saved almost a whole roll of 1950-Ds -average circ.

NOBODY wanted them -so I bought a pack of cigs.

Dallas and Chicago are where most of them went.

Needed a 39D and a 50D to finish my set, so I just bought them.

I'll never find them here in Maine.

I got a few nice 1950P's though....
