On the 24th I managed to conjure me up a silver rosy from Milham park
On the 25th I went to Spring Valley park (mainly cause a fellow detectorist had told me about a large cent that he found there recently) and I wasn't really expecting to find anything to write home about but I was in for a surprise.
This silver spoon I found about 5 minutes after I ground balanced but it took me a lot longer than that to retrieve it at about a foot deep, it was one of them high funny signals that ya just have to dig
I found this nice sterling cross right about the time the bugs were driving me crazy and it wasn't long before I decided to call it a day.
I posted this in what is it on Treasurenet and the spoon was made from 1824-1825 http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/433938-who-knows-their-hallmarks.html
I miss not having a scales (I dropped mine and they broke) so I'm going to have to break down and buy me another. This ankh cross is one hefty sucker.
