Set up for a flute?

Was looking at this piece and it reminded me of recent discussions about preparing a piece to flute. Does this look right for that? or is it just the way the base ended up... if it even is a base haha, not much to go on. Still it would be pretty cool to find a piece set up to remove a flute

Looks like it was but it end-shocked before the first flute was taken off.
 

It may actually be the flute. Maybe an attempt at fluting that dug too deep?
 

Sometimes I find Archaic era points that seem to retain a nipple platform....

Cool thanks for the replies. Now all I need is to find a fluted point to go with it. Should only take a couple decades or so with my limited hunting area. I’m sure there’s one around here somewhere.
 

What’s the story on your archaic points? Did they flute some or are they kind of a blend of paleo and archaic technology. I assume they are early archaic.
