Shallow Water South Beach FL Hunting???

Any has ever snorkeled hunting(if thats the proper terminology?? ) the shallows off of South Beach? Say 7 feet of water off of South Beach? I live between Hallendale and Miami Beach and wondered if anyone had luck before?
