Since I have shown a few shark tooth items I will follow up with this post..These are of course from Key Marco island and pic1 shows how a shark tooth was inserted in a proper handle..Some teeth were found in the handles, bottom is a barracuda tooth in the original handle......Pic2 has a number of shark tooth handles, those ole boys did some carving, left side are Are two hole dart throwing devises, note the unique flange at the base...pic 3 shows adz handles with, fig H, and animal ( rodent,?) on top of a bird head..these handles have antler tips, E-F. This photo really needs a very close thoughtful look cuzz there’s a lot of interesting information goin on..Pic 4, more adz handles... Pic. 5 is self explanatory...Pic 6 is self explanatory...this book is on Amazon for 20 bucks.I showed a cover in previous post... photo detail is amazing for the 1800s...Hope you enjoy seein some of this stuff, it a little different.

Those funky tripping limbs look like they must have been useful!

Thanks for sharing this stuff...it opens a window into another time.

Second to the last pic, bottom item. This looks very similar in shape to the mace's found in the Midwest. This is the Lilbourn Mace from the boot heel of MO. Gary

Socketed shell adze. Actually found in association by a friend when we were out gandering around Tampa Bay. The bone "socket" was hafted to a dog leg stick like pics Hal posted.
