Not the purtiest , but still really nice because of where I found it. Found it about 100 ft from the Pier on Oak Island. We had 40 mph winds on Monday and the surf washed out 4- 5 ft (depth) of beach in some places. Found this 2 1/2" Shark tooth washed up on the beach. Usually only find Sand Shark teeth along this beach. It is just missing the shorter root on one side.

Nice find! It appears to be a lower jaw tooth from Carcharocles auriculatus, an Eocene shark. Does that fit the geology of your area?
