Here is a shield type 1 real cob. I am struggling to identify anything on it, even the mint (Mexico is eliminated but that is about it). Basic cross. Single tressures. I think it is a pre-Philip V shield? If so that should put it before 1700. I think... Can anyone glean any other info from this one? Very thick on one side and tapers as you go across the coin. Hoping the cross, decent lion and castle might be able to narrow it down? Even to identify the mint. 3.24 grams obviously. I need a 1 real cob whisperer. Thank you
