i was at the beach the other day and i looked up at the side of mountain and noticed this shiny smooth round shape , barely exposed. it did not look like any other part of the mountain so it caught my attention. i dug it out and have been stumped on what it could be. the only thing that pops up when i google its discription is the egg laying mountain in china. any ideas?

Please provide information that can be helpful in identification. Size, weight, is it metal or some other material, is some material flaking off, where found?, etc.

That is a really cool find! Hit what's new and on top is a member asking others to send pics of unknown rocks. He is really good on the id as well as back story on the types of rock. Rocks are treasures too!
