Solved** Shiny fragile black rock/charcoal

Hello all. I was going through some old family boxes when I can across this. I have no idea what it is. I read a few different stones it could be but its very light, sorta fragile, and sounds a bit hollow when tapped. It was stored with some other interesting and some valuable things, so I'm wondering what it could be. Thankyou for any help And taking the time to respond!

Anthracite coal, used in older coal stoves to heat homes and some steam tractors back in the day used them.

I’d bust it open before discarding it, never know
