Got out for a dive today. Didn't find another new huge spot. I did get a 1917 merc and a 47 Washington. A 1918 wheat and a 42 nickel were also snagged. Found two new huge chains out there though. Still trying to picture what they went to. One was a floating dock almost positively.

The can opener says The Windsor Hotel. It opened in 1878. Probably from the 20's - 50's though. The large ring is strange. It was out in the middle of nowhere and it is aluminum. It was a surprise.

A lot of cool finds, Scuba! Congrats on the silvers, especially the quarters, for some reason they make me all giddy lol..thx for sharing, Ddf.

Congratulations on the silver,, I guess the water is starting to warm up.

Nice finds on the silver Scuba. I see you are still pulling those tags that I like also.

Dumb question -as I don't do the H20 thing - the silvers (your 47Q and Merc for example) - how do they clean up?

LOL I think I have answered this question a lot of times. Cleaning silver is against my religion! I sell it or scrap it and let the new owner play with it. I don't even check the dates on the mercs usually. Just not my idea of having fun.

Congrats Scuba! More to add to the finds. Do you have a finds room for all this stuff?

Kind of. All the good stuff I put in plastic drawers. The scrap brass and lead I put in 5 gallon buckets. I keep the keys in a drawer for the year.
