Got in an hour of field hunting yesterday. Still waiting for the
corn to be picked in a few other fields. The large cent will need
several more HP soakings. I.H.'s were 1892 & 1902, 1918 wheatie.

so you did manage a hunt in between chores. nice work rich.

Dang Rich! Looks like you and me went to the same place yesterday, it just took me four hours to find the old cabin spot. I missed the LC and the wheatie, got the IH's and the axe, wedge and a few other tools.

Wish my IH's looked as good as yours though!

Good hunt!

Nice hunt for a short hunt. The 02 is in great shape. Too bad the LC is not in that type of shape. Hopefully you can get a date off of it. Tell the corn pickers to get picking so you can find more.

Nice assortment of goodies. Congrats on the nice coppers.

i did some research on big pennies and back in the day people put a nail a squared nail through the large penny and hung them on the wall it was considered good luck!Just thought i would share the RESEARCH! :laughing9:

Thanks for sharing that info, found some square nails from that site also,
should see if one fits and renail it up in my house (right over where I hang
my detector for the winter).
