Got out with Tony for a few hours this morning looking for new sites or old sites ready to detect...nit much luck with either. We did get on some new ground but it was dead. My finds of the hunt are the exploded mortar fragment and the complete spigot tap. It's an older one and is just about perfect.

When Tony dropped me off I noticed that the river was really low so I walked there bank neat my house and found a few that haven't seen them air in many many years. Good day in all.

Oh, beware...the ticks are out in full force!

..: NICE FINDS (less the tick!) :..

great finds, yeah the ticks are out and the mosquitoes abound like crazy

Great selection of finds for a short hunt, liking the barrel tap.
What dating would you put on the barrel tap?
Nice Tick! I'm scratching just looking at the friggin thing. Had one crawling across the face already on the Easter weekend. They have a way of putting a bummer on a hunt.

Barrel tap is mid to late 1700s...
