Went to an old house tear down site that's been gone over by everyone many many times. I got an iffy silver reading and almost covered it up and left it when nothing turned up. Then I got a little clearer reading just next to the hole, dug down about 10" or so and out popped a little silver disk. Thought it might be the first barber for the year, but it was a 1925 merc that still had mint luster left on the coin! :laughing7: Thanks for looking!

Thanks!

Any silver is always good! Congrats. Tennessee digger

Congratulations on the Merc !! Those Barbers are definitely ellusive but a Merc will do any day.

Very nice merc! It looks quite a bit like the silver we dig up here in many of the areas in north Cal. Must be similar soil conditions where you are?
