Well, once again today I drove out to the 'ole Miss on biz. After the 5 hr. round trip I had a hour to kill
before my youngest returned from school, so I set off to the old park close to home and scored a few wheats, '20, '27, '45 and the 45-s war nick. I bumped into a fellow t-netter that I had never met, and spent most of my time chatting instead of swinging. He was running a DFX also so we had some notes to compare on programing, etc.
Being content with my 60th silver for the year, I headed home only to find a small package had arrived.
It was a belated BD present from my oldest brother and I thought it might be a box of ammo for my latest new heater. Boy was I happy it wasn't ammo! Much to my surprise it was a 1779 Spanish 8 Reale, from a sunken brig of war off the coast of Louisana.
I removed it from its protective case for better pics. Man, I can't wait to dig one of these...
