Parts from a wood plane?
I do like the stripping knife in the background.
Have a few similar ones.
Those clothes pins are great, we have the stainless steel versions.

Maybe gas cap? What does the inside look like?

Old 1930s site. I keep finding odds and ends. I think I have a part of a tractor toy and a radiator cap? Pocket knife is broken but was still fun to find. Will clean up and repost
Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Short hunts are better than no hunts. Congrats

It’s got a rubber seal
Both radiator caps and gas caps can have rubber seals. Modern radiator caps usually have a spring pushing on the seal so that the cooling system will pressurize up to the strength of the spring. Gas caps and some early radiator caps don't have a spring.
