It seems like this is part III of a series. Part I was a bunch of colonial buttons found in a soccer field Friday night, and Part II was going back yesterday and digging some old coppers and silver in that field and some adjacent fields. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,453905.0.html

Part III is that I was not going to do any detecting today, but had an hour to kill. That is not enough time to hit any of my spots, so I figured I would go to my kids former elementary school and kill some time. I was not expecting any surprises this time, but one of the first targets I dug was a 44 Merc. I have hit this site occasionally over 10 years with only a handful of Wheaties and a few pieces of jewelry, but never old silver before!

The nice ring is 10K gold filled and sterling...an odd combination! The rest is junk, but its still nice to dig some keepers near home!
