back to a local dig in Kingston, NY with FMERG at a permission he scored. we hit 2 of the yards & got some CRAD & some toys. so back to the forest floor where we bagged silver last week. after some walkin' & no diggin', Frank says he has a fawn followin' him. then 2 fawns_______then the woods come alive------- a hefty 8 pointer makes the scene----- within a minute the freight train rolls across the ridge. the buck takes to hoofs followed by fawns & does---- a total of 15 white tails hoofin' along the ridge.

LORDY---- we had no eye deer this was comin'

now to the diggies---- got a pistol round ball--
with a wheat, lipstick cap & part of a cuff link

we decide it's time to "pull back" lest the deer decide to flank us and attack with bursts of cluster ticks----

time to call for backup, Roy arrives to keep the deer off our block---



only missing the trigger return spring

as always--- gotta look yer best when diggin' -- I still prefer Max Factor for moist lips on wood nymphs--



managed aboot 2 "bucks" (pun intended) in CRAD

so time to hit the road--- always need to provide your personal vehicle when haulin' the proceeds of yer hunt


a little NIP in the air today--- so maybe a jaunt to Woodstock is in the plan---

I was strolling through the woods at my parents property and somehow spooked 6 or 7 deer. They almost stampeeded me. Not sure who got more of a fright. I was sneaking around looking for quail and about drooped undie nuggets when they popped up
