the kid is starting to show a real interest in MDing, she is a little put off
by my xlt and prizm 4,this machine seems reasonably priced, and easy to use
for a 15yr old, thats showing interest in her own machine, has or does anyone
used it and what do you think about it

It's a very fair price for a good detector. I wouldn't consider anything less as anything less could discourage her from the hobby because of frustration.
