Got out for a bit today...
First place just some bottle caps ( Old ones )
2nd place I decided to hit was frozen solid since it was a grassy area of a park / pond
so tried finding the areas with little or no snow which was only under the big evergreen trees.
The ground under them was only a couple inches of frost so it wasn't hard to dig.
First target was a 1957D penny then about 3 inches over was the 1962D dime ( Silver # 1 )
5 minutes later I got the cub scout neckerchief slide, it was just under some needles..
Woods are still dig able but the open areas are not....
Enjoy and thanks for looking.....

WTG, Bob!!!

I'll bet you're glad you got out!

Nothing like a little silver to help cure the aching back....

Hey Bob congrats on your first silver of the year!

I want to get out and dig so bad...
but the thought of getting all that mud on my freshly cleaned detector
and coat and boots and gloves - and then cleaning it off again, just keeps me thinking "well maybe later".

I suppose I could check out the sledding hills and not dig below ground.

Do you think they could ski around me if I went to Villa Olivia with my detector?
Imagine the stuff on and in those grounds!

Go for it...just keep your shovel or digger pointing in their direction cause at least if they hit you they will feel some pain too..... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey Bob,

Congrats on your first silver of '10!

Big congrats Bob,
Just a Rosie, but that winter silver is hard and elusive. I guess you get to be #2 on L4S's list?

With all the hunting going on here, I'm surprised no one has found a goldie yet. Maybe someone has & is keeping their mouth shut. The way we're hitting this part of the country, it's only a matter of time before one comes up!

It won't be just one. A cache will be the big one soon
making a list of farmland to hit this year

CONGRATS ON YOUR FIRST SILVER FOR THE YEAR!

Bob, you done good

Now I'm motivated. . .

Nice Rosie Bob! Wish I could find some dig-able ground...
