The good targets at my favorite beach are slowing down, but I still managed a couple silver coins, a likely silver ring, a gold ring, and a couple other odds and ends this past week. Almost did not dig the gold ring, as it was getting late and I was tired of digging pull-tabs and melted aluminum fragments. The ring is marked 14KP, which I thought meant plated. It actually means Plumb, meaning it is 14 karat gold exactly with no rounding off. The other ring has no markings whatsoever, but I am pretty sure it is old silver. The nickel is not silver, but it is old (1939). I'll be sad when the finds dry up at this beach, as this place can even make an amateur like me look good. Happy hunting, and good luck out there.
