I went to a fairly large city today to go to a coin shop. Well the shop was a bust but I did buy $2200 in halves to look thru. Found 1 bank that would order as many halves as I wanted and another that said they could order Ike's from the fed in Denver. So I bought $258 in dollars. All bicentennial. 1 $500 box produced no halves ,$1000 rolled from 4 different banks netted 20- 40%, 1 90% and $700 loose produced 101 40% , 5 90% Kennedy's , 1 beat up franklin , and 1 1960 hong Kong / English $. The last one was from when hong Kong was under British control , didn't that change in 2000? And 1 2 pence that wound up in a town of less than 300 people in the middle of Wyoming. Go figure. Can anyone post a picture of the differences in the type 1 and type 2 in the 76 clad Ike's? tried looking at some of them but couldn't really tell the difference. I guess this kinda makes up for th last $1500 that produced less than 10 silver total. I think I will spend the $ 's that I dint keep, get them back in circulation . HH

You definately got some ugly puppies in that bunch. Way to go on being that aggressive, 2200 like 150 pounds of halves. Haha. Way to go. :)

Side note. Nice job finding a bunch of Ikes. I came across a $130 or so worth a few weeks ago. Most I had ever come across. Keep an eye our for the occasional silver clad variety.

Congratulations,

That was one heck of a haul on those 40% for what you bought. Very nice.

Thanks Immy, that page is exactly what I was looking for. The description in the red book was kind of plain. And yes it was all heavy . It took 4 trips to get it all in the house. HH
