Haven't been posting finds recently due to the heat. Fall is coming soon though so im hoping for some confederate to end the year. Anyways, it was 91 after school but I wanted to dig badly so I went to the hunted out (Not really) house spot in my back field. It's been hunted so many times it's hard to count and finds are few and far between but we've found some things in the past year there so I had a little hope. About 10 minutes in I get a solid silver tone and flip the plug. A merc is staring up at me and it's my oldest my far! 1918 only 2 years off that darn key date. 30 minutes pass and I get another silver tone. It looks like a regular bottle cap but it's tarnished like silver and does appear to have writing on the top but is so worn out it's hard to tell. There is brown on it but its just crud spots i gotta remove. Silver or not I already got my one silver so it's all good. Supposed to be in the 70s this weekend but rainy so who knows if im gonna be posting finds. Either way thanks for reading and HH. 20180906_183421.webp 20180906_183440.webp Edit: sorry for the sideways pics my darn phone does that sometimes. :BangHead:
