Found this thin silver Chinese coin about an hour ago at a very old store dating back to 1740 in NC. I cannot find any images on the net that come close. Its about the size of a penny. It looks old to me. Any info would be appreciated.

I know next to nothing about Chinese coins, but it looks more decorative to me than a coin
 

Agree with Testing above, don't think its a real coin. Cool find though.
 

I think what you found is a good luck token or good luck coin. The photo has the traditional character form of the Chinese idiom 招财进宝 zhao cai jin bao. Which means let riches and treasures come in.
