Anyone here do any panning on Jordan Creek near Silver City?

I thought I would do a little prospecting in the area. Any info would be most welcome.

Hi there Jagdpanther, we were through there a week or so ago and noticed a couple of prospector camps but no one around to talk to? We were looking for the same thing but didn't want to be accused of claim jumping any where. Didn't see claim postings like the Boise county area so we'll need to do more research! I found out that most of the area is under claim. There is some state land in the area that might be open. Check the BLM LR2000 Geocommunicator. It lists claims in the area. How up to date? Not sure but it's a good place to start.

How much water was running in the streams and creeks?
