I have had a couple of short really good hunts. I found a corporal pin, 2 Ci-Ci's tokens, 28 wheat pennies total, 17 at one location under an old clothesline, toasted Indian penny 1904, Buffalo nickel 1925, three silver coins, 1941 and 1960 Washington quarters, 1942 Mercury dime, what appears to be a button or rivet for old coveralls marked Altoona Brand and I just happen to live 12 miles from Altoona, An old badge that says delegate on it and it appears to be fire company related as it has a fire hat and crossed ladders on it, and an old buckle that I need some help on .It is the oldest style I have ever found and I need to know what it was used for and about when it was made. The fire company badge may have been for a convention. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for looking and keep on swinging. That's a great deal of treasure - congrats to you on a terrific hunt! :occasion14:

Not bad for a couple of short hunts. Nice silver. Congrats.

They were two homes that belong to friends and were never hunted before. Small lots and easy hunting. The 17 wheats, buffalo, and Indian were in a section of yard that an old clothesline was used for years. Maybe 6 feet wide by 25 feet long.

Awesome finds. I really like your corporal rank insignia. It is from the Korean war and worn on the pile caps of soldier. This type of insignia was only used in the Korean theater. It is made of cast brass and made by the Koreans from melted down shell casings etc. I have found several of them when I was in korea. Not very old but a special find to me. Congratulations on your silver and other finds.

That is a really nice haul. It looks like fun detecting. The bar for the delegate to the firemens convention is special.

Congratualtions on the nice old coins and relics! :occasion14:

Lots of nice finds. I'd be thrilled with a day like that.

Thanks for the info. I. Was in the Army and wasn't sure about the metal stripes.

What a nice variety of finds. Looks like you had a great day.
