Relic Hunting
Well this post covers a few days hunting in an old 1700 field with lots of history. I bought a 12x15 SEF just for this. So far, I've pulled a flowing hair large cent, drape bust large cent, and yesterday I dug a king George half penny. Can't see date, but head is facing right. Found a 41 merc, a 1906 indian head, and 1866 shield nickel. My buddy has dug three king George's from same field, a shield nickel, and a 1926 merc. Numerous flat buttons as well. I'm hooked on fields!

Nice job on them old coins...

Sounds like a great field. A lot of nice finds coming out of there. The KG looks like a KGI...so early 1700s Keep pounding that field hard.

I see a Liberty Cap. and Draped Bust LC's.....where is the Flowing Hair LC? The first one looks like a Farthing, along with the last one. Unless the last one is the reverse of the Farthing. Nice finds. Hogge
