Whats the difference between the Cutlass II umax and the Silver umax.

I used to hunt with a Cutlass II before my Silver Umax.

The Cutlass II was the model they had prior to the Compadre and is not related to the silver.
It had coils u could change.
My first detector was the Cutlass II non Umax, You could change coils, and had just a on/off/Disc switch.
With a stability control on the back of the housing.
The umax model Replaced that one and added a sensitivity control i believe.

I was looking through an old "MDI" book put out by Tesoro and it had a review on the Silver Umax detector.
The author stated that this detector replaced the Cutlass II Umax detector.
In the catalog section of the magazine, The Silver is shown, but not the Cutlass II.

I really like my Silver Umax, and have had great success with it. I sold my Cutlass to a coworker a few years ago.
I added the 9 x 8 web coil to my Silver for more depth.
I can't say enough good about the machine & Tesoro as a company.

Hey, Joe only found a large copper Colonial with his Minelab. I found a teenie tiny 1833 capped bust half dime. Tesoro rules!!!
