Thanks Chris. The photo doesent realy show it well but it has a nice patina.

Have it acid tested at your local jewelry store or pawn store and keep us posted !! :icon_scratch: :headbang:
Great find, regardless !! :icon_thumleft:
Keep @ it and HH !! ;D :D

Looks like it could be silver, because one would think the plating should have been eaten off by now if it was in the ground for awhile! Also.... By law, they have only been required to mark gold and silver since 1907!

I'd take it to someone that deals in antique jewelry to learn more about it :icon_thumright:

CHEERS :coffee2:

That is a great find and I was wondering when they started marking silver and gold (thanks Snake eyes)...Kieser, I'm from upstate NY too...could you give me an idea what kind of place you found this...not an exact location, just an idea, like a field, a beach, an old house...an address, or a street name or maybe a city name... lol...just kidding and just curious. Really kool find.

Thanks y'all. I have a buddy that can cheak it to see if its silver.I found this in a cornfield that surrounds a house site that dates back to the late 1700's.
