Silver fix and MM's first Merc

MM and I descended upon one of his coworkers houses and proceeded to make ourselves at home in the yard. We found a few things including an old copper ring and the lady was really excited when I gave it to her.
Then we drove down a dirt road (I dubbed it "Methlab Lane") in search of a stage coach stop.

We wound up at the farm, where MM found his first Merc. I found a three ringer and some wheat pennies and a dog tag and what turned out to be a lipstick container. It still has lipstick inside and reads "Helene Rubenstein".

I ventured out after dinner with the DFX to hunt a field I told MM about. Finally. I found a silver pendant and some rings. It was a fun filled day/night.

That rabies tag is the ULTRA RARE 1948 over 7 double die!!

My 1949 Redbook lists it at $umpteen dollars...WTG

No..really...great finds, that one ring looks old.

I'm going to start calling you "The Night Stalker". Way to go on your evening finds.
I won't tell the folks on TN what you originally thought that lipstick case was. I may get booted off of TN.
As far as that double stamped vaccination tag, there must have been an employee with a drinking problem in the office back then? Here is a picture of the one I found on the farm about a month ago. I think we have twins! Mine is #1352 and yours is #1353. What are the chances of finding two sequential screwed-up tags!!!
Congrats on your finds & good luck at the beach. Bring a camera & take lots of bikini shots.

Yikes!!! Now that's a scary thought. I'm NOT playing the female part, and Ridley kind of looks like Rodney Dangerfield on a BAD day. Not a good combo.

Those dog tags are nothin' compared to the squirrel juggling lady we met. Did you know that squirrels have nipples? I never did until she showed us...
... but that wasn't half as entertaining as watching MM jump up and down on the historic septic tank lid of the beer swilling, blissfully unaware home owners as he rammed it with his brass probe, smiling in the sweltering heat, saying "I wonder what this is?"

Luck was with us and we never found out.

I keep thinking we left that place just in the nick of time. We should have taken a photo of all the lawn ornaments. Not to mention the pile of metal trash we accidentally left on their front steps.

Oh the humanity!
