silver from new Orleans?

Just hunted an old church in michigan. Dug 4 wheats a 1954 nickel a 1912 Canadian quarter and what looks to be a silver platter or something not sure. It says new Orleans has a crown and a date of 1909 I believe. Pics to follow in a bit as IM on the road. Thanks
