So I've finally started detecting on the beaches! Two straight days of it, in fact. Yesterday was "all" trash (i.e. bottle caps, fishing lures, etc), but today I found some things that weren't a complete waste. The first was a spoon, then a 1/2 teaspoon measuring spoon (both stainless steel), a tent spike, and three little pennies. lol! Meager, but satisfying. I know I've gotta get through trash before I can get to the nice finds. Anyway, I've suckered my brother and another friend into detecting with me and even competing with each other for finds. And I also met a really cool Christian guy out there at North Beach @ Fort DeSoto today as well! I saw several other detectorist's out there between yesterday and today with Bounty Hunters and Ace 250's. The guy today had an AV Minelab and a homemade scoop made out of plumbing pipe.

Oh, that's quite alright Norm! I've been down here helping my dad with his tree work every once in a while... so that'll be enough for me, thank you Sir! lol!
