This is my second coin found in the keys the first was last year-it was a 1/2 or 1 reale very deteriorated-this coin is a 4 or cut 8 reale 1700's-here she is all cleaned up-sweet!

I wish I was that lucky.
I guess if I keep at it and hunt the right spots I someday be as lucky as you.

Ace I have found that all the articles on the internet help me narrow down to search areas but the bottom line is when in the keys-dig everything!

I hear ya there! I dig everything over 40 on the VDI.
I have learned that you must know your machine well and hunt in places that will produce treasure.
But occasionally some people have good luck and just stumble on great finds. But that is rare.
We have a place in Jersey where a few Spanish Reales were found.
I just haven't traveled an hour south to that beach yet. But I will get there someday after a good Nor Easter.
