Went down to one of my usual beaches in SoCal and hit a stretch a little further up than where I normally hunt. It usually attracts less people and I've never hunted it but I wasn't getting much in the heavier swim area so I walked up the beach until I hit a silver quarter. Worked a grid and pulled out 4 more plus a dime in a 20x20 area. Also scored an old silver pendant too in the same area. Found the usual trash but all of the coins I found were silver. Interesting. It pays to work new areas that have been eroded obviously.
Surprisingly there was decent erosion from the last storm front that moved through. Already sanding back in so I'm kicking myself for not getting out there Saturday.....but I'll hit this area first next time.
