Found this in Eastern North Carolina with my Metal Detector It weighs 13.3 grams . The length is .9375" x width is .175"x height is .518" the density calcs to be 9.55 to 10 g/cm cubed have not done a acid test but it is non-ferrous and not lead as its not soft or makes a mark on paper

I found something like that on a creek bank a few months back. Probably melted aluminum.

Maybe part of a pewter utensil handle? I've seen pewter come out of the ground looking like that around here.

I had it analyzed by a fellow Treasurenet member and found it to be 98.38% Zink and 1.62% copper.
