Detector(s) used
Minelab Etrac and Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202 with 10" coil, Garrett Pro-pointer.
Back to the vacant lot next to the abandoned church today for a quick hunt. Started out with two deep (6 inches or more) wheats, 1910 and 1914. Oldest wheats I have found. Then a silver-plated spoon. About a half hour later, solid dime signal at about 5" deep, cut a large plug and flipped it and there it was looking at me, the back half of a Mercury dime, my first ever. The date was 1936. That alone was enough to make the hunt, but I still had a few minutes left. The very next target, about 15 feet away was another solid dime signal at about 6". Again, the coin was in the plug and the Propointer screamed it was close. One light scrape and I saw the distinct color of silver again, a 1956D Roosevelt. I have never found two silver dimes in one day before, let alone consecutive targets! I can't wait to get back to this place next spring with a higher power detector. With those deep old wheats, there have to be Indians and Barbers here as well.

Congrats on the two silver dimes. I am sure you will find more good stuff.
