Silver or clad SAC doLLars - anybody but me found any? Are they a Mint error?

I have two SAC dollars in my dollar coin collection that I have found in the past several weeks that are clad ( shiny silver colored ) instead of the normal gold color. Has anyone else stumbled upon these or know anything about them. I've heard several reports of Mint errors involving these coins so any help would be appreciated.

Not sure, but wasn't there some company that silver plated a whole bunch of different coins - and I believe it included the sac dollar, but cannot find a name for the life of me?

i would say that if you found them metal detecting then they are not true errors just discolorazation from the soil
