Here's one for ya Breezie.
I found this at an old plantation site in SC. I first thought it was a handle to a serving spoon but not so sure anymore. It is plated about 3" by 3/4" tapered, with pattern on front and flat metal on back. It's heavy and weighs 40.7 grams. I can't find the pattern on any site that I have looked. This one has me stumped, any ideas?

Hey Mac, I'm thinking it looks more like part of a letter opener since it it flat on one side. The flower has a sunflower appearance. Interesting find :icon_thumleft: Breezie

This pic below is not like yours, but basically I wanted you to see the blade portion, as well as the handle for a letter opener, can be embossed.
